“The Wang Center, 2016,” Photo by Larry Kelly, Wins “WINTER LIGHT” Work Share ”Competition” for December, 2016

Work Sharing  themed “competition” is a new feature the Kings Park Photo Club is experimenting with.

Each month members submit their one best photo within the theme in an informal, friendly “competition” on the club’s closed group Facebook page.  Members vote for the “winner.”  There are no prizes, but the winning picture is featured here on the News blog (if the photographer is OK with that).

The December Work Sharing competition was  “WINTER LIGHT.”  The January, 2017  Work Share competition is ”MACRO/CLOSE FOCUS” and runs until January 26th.

The club also conducts Work Sharing meetings during the year where members submit three photos for feedback.  In a gently honest process we help each other improve our work.  We also have presentations and information exchanges at our Regular Meetings throughout the year on various photography subjects.

To learn more about the club and its educational mission please contact us using the form on the Home page.  You can also join the club through the Contact Us form on the Home page or come to a meeting.

Our next Regular Meeting will be on Thursday, January 19, 2017, 7 PM at the Kings Park Library basement conference room (and a Work Share Meeting the week after).

Hope to see you there!
